Age
At this age, care is essentially all on the adult. The child does not yet make care decisions, so daily life runs on the routines of the parents and other adults: meals, measurements, hypo treats within reach, and quickly recognising any unusual symptoms.

At this age the goal is not for the child to ”manage on their own”, but for the people around them to manage: parents, daycare adults, grandparents and other carers know how to spot a low, where the hypo treats are and when to call 112.
